Mads here with a trend I’m fully getting behind: cafes hidden inside retail stores. As someone who could happily spend hours lollygagging, these are my ideal places to grab a coffee and browse:
Fast Times at Buck Mason, Venice ☕ Tucked inside Buck Mason, this cozy coffee stop is stocked with great coffee, shelves of vinyl, and vintage books you’ll actually want to flip through.
Side Kitchen at James Perse, West Hollywood ☕ James Perse is a playground for everyone who dreams of their house feeling like a luxury hotel, and their new coffee concept is essentially like having a fresh brew delivered by room service on vacation!
Sporty & Rich, West Hollywood ☕ Whether you’re actually working out or just dressing like you are, Sporty & Rich has you covered. Shop the latest collection, grab a coffee or smoothie, and fuel up with a fruit-forward breakfast before taking on your day.
Café Leon Dore at Aimé Leon Dore, West Hollywood ☕ This petite boulangerie with quaint merch (inside the impossibly stylish clothing store hailing from New York) is sooo charming it looks like something straight out of a Wes Anderson movie.
Pantry at Madhappy, West Hollywood & Malibu ☕ Naturally, the Pantry menu is just as colorful and quirky as Madhappy’s clothing! Don’t miss their unique ice cream flavors supplied by Softside.
Broome St. General Store, Culver City/Silver Lake ☕ Perusing the aisles full of Broome St.’s premium tchotchkes (including an impressive fragrance assortment, BTW) while waiting for your coffee is our ideal start to a day of errands.

Pasadena ☀️ Feel the magic of golden hour when the Norton Simon Museum turns its sculpture garden into the dreamiest summer evening with wine, live music, and drawing supplies so you can actually slow down to soak up the sun.

Malibu 📖 A book club on the beach? Yes please! LA Girls Book Club is taking their next meeting for Yesteryear to Zuma Beach. All you need is a chair and your favorite beach snack!
Venice 🎶 This candlelit concert in a cozy house will be an intimate evening of wine and mingling!
Santa Monica 🍼 Parents can head to The Crow for a much-needed night out thanks to this comedy show that is baby-friendly with plenty of dirty (diaper) jokes!

Virgil Village 🍕 Didn’t know how bad we needed this: Quarter Sheets is collabing with Budonoki on a menu of pizza and pastries, plus iced-cold cocktails, that you won’t want to miss!
Los Feliz 🍷 Latin funk and juicy pours are on the menu at the next Micah’s Market, hosted by Bar Covell!
